DesCOMBES, Mary Catherine 85, of Springfield, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 in her home. She was born October 5, 1929 in Springfield, the daughter of Cecil and Lela (Daughters) Ferguson. Mrs. Des Combes was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and the National Court Reporters Association. She had been active with the P. T. A. and was Chairwoman of the School Fair at McGuffey School. Mary was a retired court reporter having served Judge Finfrock in Logan County and Judge Henderson in Clark County. She was also the owner of the Wicker Parlor with stores in Springfield an Waynesville. Survivors include her husband of 64 years; Norman L. Des Combes, two sons; Gary (Mary) Des Combes, Centerville and Grant Des Combes, Springfield, two foster daughters; Ann (Bob) Delich and Debbie (Danny) Irving all of California, three grandchildren; Cherie (Jessie) Edwards, Angie (Nick) Sahayda and April Des Combes and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson; Don Howard, two brothers; Cecil Ferguson Jr. and Bruce Ferguson and her parents. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Dwight McCormick officiating. Entombment will follow in Ferncliff Mausoleum.
