To the Family of Deputy Hopper,

AT TIMES LIKE THESE YOU WILL SEE ONLY ONE SET OF FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW. THIS IS WHEN THE LORD IS NOW CARRYING YOU, AND KNOW THAT THOSE FOOTPRINTS BELONG TO HIM.
When you have lost something, that means you can't find it. You haven't lost a Deputy. You haven't lost a mother, or a wife or a sister. Why? Because we all know where Suzanne is. She is an Angel that God has chosen to relocate to Heaven.
May God give you the extra strength to except he has chosen to take your Angel to heaven with him.

GOD BLESS OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU

I did not know Deputy Suzanne Waughtel Hopper but I knew other offices that did. I went to the funeral service and to the burial to show my support and found out first hand why she will be missed so much. The service was very moving (although I did not know her it was still extremely hard to fight back the tears especially at the burial where there was a last call on the radio – this is the saddest thing to hear for a law enforcement officer). Hats off to those who put the service together, Clark County, Columbus PD and all those who helped did an outstanding job and excelled at paying the ultimate tribute to such a fine public servant. Rest in Peace Suzanne Waughtel Hopper.

Never have I grieved so deeply over a loss. As a Sister in Blue, this is one of the most difficult experiences to date.

Words cannot express what needs to be said to her immediate family at this time.

I forward my love to all and now know we have a Guardian Angel that may some day protect others.
