To the Crawford Family,
I hope that you find peace knowing that Dave Crawford was a well respected man of the St. Petersburg Police Department. Words cannot ease your pain or replace the loss that you have had to endure. "God Speed", may he "Rest In Peace".

As a survivor and active Law Enforcement Officer I wish I could tell you it gets easier. I can't, but what I can tell you is that every day you wake up and continue to move forward David's legacy and memory move forward with you. I thank David for his dedication and passion and I thank you, his family, for continuing during this trial. Hold your head high and know that David is a true hero.

To the family ... What can one say when this happens to another family, and not to yourself? The immense loss, the emptiness, the void in the minds, hearts and souls of the Crawford family ... Memories, photos, horses, kitty's, may fill some, but never all. Above all, family, you have one another, be there when being there is needed. You have to hold on to what you've got. Cherish, protect and keep your husband, your daddy within you every day, every hour, every minute until you are reunited.
God Bless And Keep You All.

May God bless you. You have given the ultimate sacrifice for your City and fellow man. I have attended way too many of these and as my career winds to an end I can only pray that I make it.
Your family has made a great sacrifice throughout your career as my family well knows and now faced with this I hope that they can take some solice in the knowledge that you died doing what you loved to do for yourself and for them to be so proud.
Rest now David, we have the watch from here.

Thoughts and prayers to the family, friends and agency. The grief felt by the SPPD over the loss of the three heroes has reverberated throughout the whole LE community. Stay safe, God bless.

To Amanda and Lori you have lost a husband, father and friend. I am so very sorry for your lost. I continue to keep you in my prayers. To Mrs. Crawford my heart grieves for you deeply. Two beautiful families have suffered a terrible loss. I wish I had words of wisdom to help ease your pain but there are no words. Only God and time can help to that void in your hearts and lives. David died an honored hero in the line of duty. A hero to many but none as loved as you.

God Bless,
Sandy LaBelle
