BENEDICT, Thomas went home to be with his Lord and Savior following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease on Friday, March 15, 2013, in Frederiksted, St. Croix, USVI. A native of St. Croix, Tom settled in St. Petersburg and raised his family there from 1967-2001, when he returned to run his family business, Cottages by the Sea, in St. Croix. Tom Served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for many years as a printed circuit designer for ECI/ESystems/ Raytheon. After retirement, he went back to school to achieve his Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degrees in Christian Counseling from St. Petersburg Theological Seminary. Tom loved playing Calypso music on his guitar, playing soft pitch ball, watching his beloved Rays and Bucs, and serving the Lord in various Christian ministries throughout his lifetime. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Genevieve; brothers, Robert and Harold; sister, Patricia; and wife of 52 years, Carol. Tommy is survived by his children, Patricia (Mark) Schell-haas, T. Matthew (Marcy) Benedict, Ruth (Paul) Fox; son, Paul Benedict; and 7 grandchildren, Megan Fox (Paul) Sertzel, Kaitlin Fox, Paul III Fox, Trent Schellhaas, Hardy Schellhaas, T. Gabriel Benedict and Watson Benedict. Funeral Services will be held at the Kingshill Cemetery chapel on Friday, March 22nd, at 4 pm.

I WISH TO SEND MY PRAYERS AND CONDOLENCES TO THE BENEDICT FAMILY. TOM AND I WERE DESIGNERS AT RAYTHEON AND WORKED ON MANY PROJECTS TOGETHER. TOM WAS A GOOD FRIEND. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES THAT WE HAD.
