My condolences to the Bickey family. I remember Vasil from Bridgeport, we lived across the street. Basil was a very nice, and hard working man. Rest In Peace, Vasil.

Claire,
I am very saddened to hear of our loss of Vasil. I will never forget working with you both on your home in Redington Beach. You both are special people and I will always remember your support and loyalty. All my thoughts of Vasil and you are warm and fond - My Best Always, Michael

I was very sorry to hear of your loss. Vasil and I spent 4 years together in the masonry dept and on the football team. No one I ever saw could put up a brick wall as fast and well as Vasil. The opening second half touchdown was unbelievable and made our season.

I never met Mr. Bickey but as a kid I saw that runback. He was right in front of me when he picked it up and ran. Very memorable. I am glad that God has blessed him with long life and a good family.

I was shocked yesterday to hear Vasil has gone onto his heavenly reward. All of us from the Lula family have fond memories of growing up in the West End with all 5 of the Bickey brothers. Please give our condolences to all members of the family. Vasil was a good man and so were all the boys. It was truly a bonding of two families from the poor side of town. God Bless all of you........John Lula

My deepest condolences to Vasil's wife Claire, children, and grandchildren and brothers Danny and Nick. We grew up together in a 6 family house in Bpt. on Lee Ave. across from St. Dimitrie's Romanian Orthodox Church. Vasil was not only a great athlete but a good man who stood up for other people and what he believed was right. May his memory be eternal and as a fellow Navy Seabee, I wish him "Fair Winds and Following Seas."
