Dear Evelyn - I'm so very sorry to learn of Bob's passing. I knew him through my time with Del Monte Foods in London - and of course your generous hospitality many years ago. Bob was a distinguished businessman and a true gentleman. My sincere condolences.
Just learned about Bob's passing. Worked with him at Chattanooga snack plant and Fort Smith Planters plant. Last time we met was in London. First Henry Weigl and now Bob. They will be surely missed. John Bayens

Carbonell Family- I went to school with Margaret. I am so very sorry for your loss.
He will be missed by many, my condolecnces to his family. I had the pleasure of reporting to Bob in the late '90's; he was a gentlman, and a great scientist. Requiescat in pace.
My sincerest condolences to you and your family.
I have had the pleasure of working with Bob at both Nabisco and the Tea Association/Council of the USA. In both organizations Bob distinguished himself as being an extremely intelligent, personable, entirely approachable executive who was able to exert a calming influence during even the most tumultous business conditions. He had a unique management style and will be sorely missed by his many friends in the tea and biscuit world.
Bob is in my prayers. Peace to Him
A wonderful friend who I will miss always.
Bob was a very respected executive at Standard Brands and Nabisco . He was a friend and mentor who entered the Quarter Century club with me at the same time! We saw him when he visited family in New Canaan. We will miss you Bob!
Our sincerest condolences to you and
your family. We have fond memories as
neighbours in Stamford, Conn.

As a friend of Ileana, I had the pleasure of meeting Robert on a number of occasions. He was the consumate family man, a true gentleman and I know your family will feel his loss completely. My family sends love and sympathy.
As a friend of John and Bob, please accept my deepest condolences to the entire, and quite extended, Carbonell family. Robert's curriculum vitae is most impressive but I'm sure a mere fragment of the man he truely was. Although I never had the priviledge to meet the man himself I know I've experienced his legacy through the camaraderie of his Sons whom I am fortunate to call friends. Blessings, comfort and peace to all.
We trust that beyond absence there is a presence. May the sorrow that you feel in your hearts be lightened by the love that surrounds you.
