Uncle Ivan, now at Peace. It was a great pleasure to have met another relative of Mum's in recent years. Respected Elder and Uncle.

Thanks Ivan on behalf of the hundreds of Indigenous students who have graduated from Deakin University since your foundational contribution to the planning and implementation of the Koorie Teacher Education Program from 1985 to 1988. You will be remembered and acknowledged at the 30th anniversary of Deakin's Institute of Koorie Education in November.
Also thanks for your wise guidance of myself and other academic staff during those formative years,
John Henry, Geelong.
