Anderson, Robert C.
Elmira: Age 83, passed away Friday August 22, 2014 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Robert was born in Mt. Jewett PA on May 5, 1931, son of the late Alec and Margaret (Carl) Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Betsy R. (Oakes) Anderson on August 9, 2013. Robert is survived by his children, daughter and son-in-law, Rae A. and James Terwilliger of Horseheads with her children Michael Nelson and Lindsay (Eric) Upham; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert E. and Jacquelyn Anderson of Elmira with children Janet, Heather and James Anderson; Mark A. and Michelle Anderson of Gang Mills with sons, Alec and Brennan Anderson; great grandchildren, Ryan and Bella Maxine Upham; his siblings, Mooneen(Ernest) Cunningham, Paula (Lee) Essad, Edward (Gail) Anderson and Sally (Wayne) Walden. Robert was the founder and owner of Anderson Cozy Corner's Restaurant for over 30 years. He was a loving husband and caregiver to his beloved wife Betsy who passed last year. Robert was a kind, devoted father, sibling and friend to all he loved. He was a US Air Force veteran who served four years receiving a honorable discharge in 1952. Robert loved spending time with his family at the Montour Marina camp grounds, a fan of Buffalo Bills Football, Jackals Hockey, NASCAR, and traveling throughout the summers. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Donations in Robert's memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P O Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675.

Dear Michael and Rae,
We are so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Our Michael was very fond of dad/granddad and he always said he was a very kind man and loved chatting with him. I will miss seeing him at Cozy's. Please know you are both in our thoughts and prayers.

Bob was my cousin. My parents were Louis and Marian Carl. I only heard good things through the years about your father. Aunt Nesby told me a lot of good things about your father, also. My sincere condolences to you all.

To The Anderson Family...
So sorry to hear the loss of a great man and my Boss when I worked at Cozy Corner's...he was a sweet loving person..him and I used to chat a lot when I worked there...back about 25 yrs ago...I worked the afternoon's with Bob and him and I always had something to chat about...also betsy was a wonderful person too...My prayers to you all and God Bless...!!
