He is a true American hero. Never seen him stand on his head and eat a bug though. I bought many cars from him since 1980 and always had a great deal. Thanks Cal

living in southern california in the 1970s and 80s you could not avoid his tv ads for autos. you always wondered what Cal was up to next with what animal in tow with him and it on an auto. his jingle still familiar to me.

While Stationed in the Marine Corps at Camp Pendelton, CA and MCAS in Yuma, AZ it was always great to wait and watch for Mr. Worthington's TV commercials. Thank you for the memories and for your great service to our Country. Your Family will be in my prayers. Semper Fi Mr. Worthington

I first saw Cal on his commercials when stationed @Long Beach Naval Station back in the 1970's I really enjoyed his commercials.

I grew up in West Los Angeles and remember the great Country Western show he would have on Sunday afternoons and Friday night show and dance. RIP
