My condolences go out to the entire Musial family. Stan The Man was the greatest Cardinal to ever play the game!! Growing up and following the Cardinals, I have fond memories of attending many games at Sportsman Park watching Stan send many a ball over the right field pavilion roof onto Grand Ave. When he announced his retirement, after the shock wore off literally ran from my house to catch the old Grand Ave street car for the stadium, and was lucky enough to get two tickets for his final game. To this day I still have the scorecard of his final game and a lifetime of memories. A perfect gentleman, family man, businessman, civic leader and a credit to baseball,he truly was the perfect warrior and knight. I know our Lord has welcomed you to play ball in Heaven. As with Lincoln," he now belongs to the ages", and I suspect Baseball will never see one of his caliber again.RIP Mr. Musial, and thanks for the memories.
