Bartholomew B. Ryan Devoted family man, boxer in Canada and his native Ireland Bartholomew B. Ryan, 89, of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. Born in Dublin, Ireland he emigrated to the United States. Visiting is Thursday, from 5 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 9 a.m. from the Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East St. Georges Ave., Linden, N.J. (908) 352-9190. Funeral Mass is at St. Catherine R.C. Church, Hillside, N.J., at 10 a.m. Interment is in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Send online condolences to krowickifuneralhome.com. Mr. Ryan was a former boxer in Ireland and Canada and was the middle weight champion of Dublin, Ireland in 1949. He was also an avid championship golfer. Mr. Ryan was the beloved husband for 63 years of Annie (Strain) Ryan, devoted father of David Ryan and his wife, Judy, Colleen Ryan, Eleanor Fitzsimmons and her husband, James, and Catherine Ryan; loving brother of Mary Mason and Kitty Tobin, both of Ireland, and cherished grandfather of Daniel, Briana, Ayala, Caitriona, Brendan, and Ryan.

Dear Annie and Family,
I only had the pleasure of meeting Bart one or two times but what a gentleman!
As my mom said he was very much like my Dad in his calm, quiet way and a terrific golfer too.
