I was heartbroken to hear of the passing of Aunt Babe. Although I didn't have many opportunities to get to know her, she truly endeared herself to me while I was away fighting in Afghanistan. Her notes and cards never failed to lift my spirits and helped me through some pretty dark times. I could feel her prayers from the other side of the world and I know that she really cared about me. I have saved her cards and letters, all saved in my wartime memory box. The St. Christopher medal she sent me still hangs on my dog tags .Thank you, Aunt Babe, for making my life better.
