Not sure what to say?

My first words were OH NO as I accidently stumbled upon Cheryl's obituary! I have been searching for her for a few years. She and I have covered so much ground together in NJ, at work, with NABA and women's organizations, attending accounting conferences, or just hanging out. She was a such a great friend, I never realized she was so much younger than I. We never discussed age and other superficial measurements. We were friends at face value, trading many laughs and much advice. I have missed chatting with her since I relocated. Cheryl was such a go getter, a very smart and delightful person, I just wish I could have reached her sooner. My sympathy and prayers are extended to the Jenkins family. May she rest in peace.

I just found out about the passing of Cheryl after googling her name and her obituary came up. I am so hurt and sad just as you are. We were friends at the Dept of Human Services in NJ. After retirement I moved on to Texas. We talked from time to time. Cheryl was awesome, I respected her knowledge of finance and we spent a lot of time socializing in New Brunswick. I will always remember her and all that she did to add joy to my life. My deepest condolences.

To the Jenkins family,
I shall always remember and treasure high school memories of Cheryl - brilliant, funny, full of life and energy. I can still picture her quick steps and her ready laugh! What a treasure. Although we lost contact after high school, I have always counted her as one of my friends. Blessings to you as you adjust to her loss.

My friend! My classmate! My memories of Cheryl are that of a very enthusiastic, brilliant, kind, fun loving person who had the potential to be anything she wanted. She was a trail blazer in so many ways and yet, humble enough to enjoy every one. I remember that she would sleep her way through some of the toughest math classes, then wake up in time to make an A. I am so saddened to hear of her loss, and will remember her fondly always! Much love to Connie, Cassandra, Dad, and family.

To Dr. Jenkins and family Iam sorry to hear of the passing of Cheryl. I am deeply sadden to hear, I can remember the times we lived next door to each other and how she helped me study for nursing a profession I could handle and she would say "You can do it girl you are so caring of others" , She was a person that didn't have to study like I did things came to here naturally. Rest in peace dear neighbor and get the rest that you have earned here on earth. I will miss you.

There In The Shadows, A Bright Light Streaked,

Distracted By A Presence, It Caught Your Eyes.

Its Twinkling Glistened Like A Star From The Heavens,

And Then, As Suddenly As It Appeared, It Vanished.

I Caught The Warm Smile It Reflected, And So Did You.

Another soul gone on to paradise. Cheryl and I attended Wedgewood Middle School and Woodham High School in Pensacola, Florida where we graduated in the class of 1974. Cheryl was always the consummate scholar - good grades came effortless for her it seemed, while most of us had to study our heads off to make a B. It's little wonder that she went on to become a CPA, she was so brilliant and gifted. I was so looking forward to the 40th high school reunion in July 2014, and hoping to catch up with old friends like Cheryl. But our God had a different plan. My condolences to the entire Jenkins family in this time of sorrow. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Be Encouraged.
