Al Andersen was a true gentleman. It was my pleasure to have had a business relationship with him for over 30 years. Even though it was a long distance business relation, Al always made it feel personal. Al Andersen's word was his bond.

To Ruth and the Andersen Family, Received word yesterday of Al's passing. Our prayers are with you. Al chaired the Pastoral Nominating Committee when I was called to Pleasantdale Church in 1972. He always had a great interest in youth ministry, music, finances and above all, a desire that the church have a strong Christ-centered witness; in my 12 years there he was a vital part of the work of the church. "We sorrow not, as others who have no hope." Our love in Christ, Charles & Alice Jessen

Mr. and Mrs. Andersen were always so gracious to me as a welcome guest in their house, as a long time beau of his daughter Karen. I have only the best memories of all of our associations.
Thanks for the great collection of photos.

I remember "Mr. Andersen" while growing up in West Orange with his children. He was a man of great faith in God & church. As a dedicated member of the Pleasantdale Presbyterian church, I don't recall him ever not attending a service or not assisting in any way he could. Mr. Andersen was without doubt a devoted husband remaining in his love & devotion for his wife all these years. He stayed steadfast in his beliefs & values as a father raising his 3 children. It is a sad time to see this man "move on" but also a time to celebrate & remember all that his life stood for. Blessings!
