Dear Stephanie and Family,
I got to know Charlie a little bit more at the Metropolitan Orchestra's first post season pot luck dinner last June and am very glad I did, and to meet you too. I'm sorry that Charlie and I didn't get more acquainted, but we did not sit near each other in the orchestra. While we missed him at our Fall and Winter concerts this season we are glad to know it was because he was traveling with you. I'm glad to have attended the service and saw at least four fellow orchestra board members there, including my co-chair, Rose Feldman. Rose has known Charlie for about 45 years and will miss his usual greeting: "Hi Rosie."
At our next board meeting I will propose that we do something in Charlie's memory, unless someone else beats me to it! I will make sure that our program shows the donations in Charlie's memory separate from our usual donor list for the time being. We very much appreciate that we were mentioned and are going to miss Charlie's playing with us. While not having Charlie play with us is a big loss for the orchestra, it is an even bigger loss for the members of the cello section. You are always welcome at our concerts. We hope to see you there.
The Turner Family:
We knew Charlie for many years in S.O. and will miss him a lot. The world needs more like him - honorable, kind and so on target. A real pleasure to be around.
To the entire Turner family,
I am deeply saddened by this heart wrenching news. Charles & I have had a professional relationship that has spanned over a decade. I enjoyed, and even looked forward to our tax related conversations. Imagine that! Charles was able to turn what is to most was an unpleasant subject into a lighthearted conversation which always left me with a smile. I will miss him dearly.

What heartbreaking news. I am so sorry for you and your family. Charles was always a larger than life figure to me from my childhood years in Newark. So many hours at his home under the spirited tutelage of his mother; so many gatherings of family friends, and he, so graceful, and handsome, and wise and warm toward all. What a loss. My thoughts are with you, your boys, Leon and Lola.

Dear Stephanie and family,
I am so sorry I cannot be with you personally in this time of great sadness. I think of you often. And I think of Charles, wishing I had gotten to know him better. But distance didn't allow that. I will always remember his kindness, concern for others, and his dry sense of humor. Remember the happy loving times. They are all that is important.
To the Turner family, our deepest condolences on the passing of such a special "cousin".... he will be in our memories always.
With our sincerest thoughts on this most sad time.
Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, Charles was a gratly respected, kind man. Charles will be sorely missed by us all. My thoughts are with you and your family, may happy memories carry you through this time of sorrow.
Love, Kimberly, Rachael and Alyssa Friedman
We are praying for your comfort in knowing how much your dad was respected and loved.

Such sad news and so sudden. Charles will be dearly missed. Always the gentleman and such an asset to our Viera Community, serving so ably on our board. Please know Charles and all those who loved him will remain in our prayers. Linda and Jim Baratte
You are in our thoughts and prayers. I really enjoyed the last conversation that we had about your VW Camper last year.

It was an honor knowing Charles all my life. Spending Yom Kippur and birthdays together is a memory I'll always cherish. He will be missed! You're all in my thoughts and have my deepest condolences.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I will never forget all the years we worked together.
FOR ONCE IN HIS LIFE CHARLES SHOWED INCREDIBLY POOR TASTE LEAVING US TOO SOON. CLEARLY GOD HAS NEED OF A HUMBLE ATTORNEY OF IMPECCABLE ETHICS, MORALS AND CHARACTER. GOD KNOWS, HE HAS LEFT US AN UNBRIDGEABLE VOID.
You and your family are in my prayers. I will never forget all the years we worked together.
You and the family are in my thoughts and prayers and I will never forget you.
Some aspire to be great men. Charles aspired to be a good man. You will be sorely missed. Alice
