I will miss Howard. He was always friendly and helpful, I enjoyed working with him. He had more energy than a man half his age. God Speed.
I met Howard at St Clares when he was in his 80's - He danced/ he cruised/ he laughed - He was a joy to be around- he had so much energy- I believe he was a great role model for so many - He truly seemed to enjoy life. He will be dearly missed.
We thank Howard for being such a huge supporter of the Roxbury Arts Alliance. He added so much joy and enthusiasm to our events by attending and dancing.
He was "Mr Roxbury". He will be missed.
Howard your energy and positive attitude will truly be missed! I am very luck to have known you and will never forget you!! The Memorial Day Parade will not be the same...
I am honored to have had the priviledge to not only work with you on Urban 4, but to also be a close friend. You always made me smile Howie, & truly taught me how to always stay positive & see the bright side when times got tough. Every time you would arrive on the floor, my day would automatically change for the better. You ran circles around me & amazed me with all you could do. Around town when I would see you, it was always while you were helping someone, or doing as you always had done for me - making that person's day brighter. Parades, town celebrations, no matter what the reason -you were there. You always will be. This next parade, and every one in the future, I will feel you there. We all will...you will always be with us.
Rest in peace Mr. D. You are one of my fondest memories when I think back to my childhood and growing up in Kenvil.
Howie was a great person who was devoted to his country and loved to dance. My family as known him for over forty years its good to know he is with my mom, dad and aunt once again.
