Lew,
Happy Birthday to my wonderful and greatly missed husband. Today you would have been 65. I miss you so much and see you everywhere I go. When I was in San Diego to see our son Brian run his 2nd marathon there, we went to the Hotel Del in Coronado. You were everywhere...on the benches, on the patio, in the hotel...everywhere. I even sensed you at Delux Dogs (our favorite eating place in Coronado). We all missed you on that trip and recalled how wonderful it was for us to have been able to take that same trip the previous year.

I wish everything was different but it is not and so we go on thinking of you, missing you, and wishing you were here with us.

Your loving wife,

Susan

It's been a year since our amazing trip to London. It's hard to believe! I miss my Dad so much, but I am so thankful that we were able to make these amazing memories together! What a great trip that was!

Super Lew,
Pop, Cathy, and I saluted you at dinner on Monday night - you are with us always and in all ways. Valpo won their conference championship and play in the Big Dance on Thursday - we know that you will be watching it from your recliner cloud! Your family is doing very well - my only regret is that you didn't fully realize how many lives that you touched and what a great father, husband, son, and friend to many that you were during your 64 year journey here on earth! Pop, Cathy and I send our love and rest assured that our memories of you are fond and happy as we are all better people for knowing, loving, and being loved by you!!

Lew,
I miss you more and more every day. I know you can see how much all of us are empty without you here. We think about you all the time and know you are looking down on us and guiding us through our days.

Love, Susan

What a wonderful memorial service last Tuesday for such an honorable gentleman. Coach Drew attending had to put a big smile on Lew's face!
The country band Montgomery Gentry does a song entitled, That's Something To Be Proud Of. Part of the lyric's contain the words, "That's a life you can hang your hat on." There is clearly no doubt, Lew Bolitho lived a life he can hang his hat on.

God Bless you Lew.

Jim and I had come to know Lew through many years of Agency/Company associations. Always enjoyed our talks and breakfasts together at the Conference. We had hoped we could resume the friendship we've developed when we retired to Arizona. But God had other plans. He will always remain in our minds and in our hearts as a wonderful caring many.

Rest in peace my friend.

Super Lew,
We had an amazing memorial service in your honor yesterday and many of your dear friends and family paid their respects. It is clear that you are gone but will never be forgotten! In your true giving spirit, even in death you continue to help those around you as your family has come together and is closer than ever as they rise up to honor you! To quote a cheesy hollywood movie line, "ya did good, kid, real good"! Knowing you as I do, you likely never realized how loved, appreciated, and respected that you were, are, and will forever be!! Thank you for showing the world that one can choose to live a simple quiet humble principle based life and still make this world a better place. Thank you for taking great care of my sister both in the past and in the future, thanks for respecting Pop and GMom so much, thank you for your personal guidance, fellowship, and counsel, thank you for helping so many people, and thank you for your quiet leadership example!! Cathy and I will honor our promises to you in any and every way possible. Rest easy and proud, Lewis Raymond Bolitho, for you rose beyond your wildest dreams to leave this world and those whom you met along the way in a better place!

I think about you often, and how you taught me so much. I looked up to you like a father figure as I didn't grown up with one. Knowing you were such an amazing & respected dad to your children. You were always there to mentor me & lend an ear, always pushing me to do my best. You are in God's hand now & there's no better place to be than with the other kindered spirits in Heaven. Much love & Peace....Jeanette

Losing a dad has been pretty tough stuff. The last two years were full of complete sadness. It is so hard to believe that he is gone. I am just proud to be your son and will carry on the torch to my sons. Thanks for the great life you have provided me.

My heart is heavy knowing that my oldest and dearest friend, Susan, has lost her husband. I am comforted knowing that she has a wonderful family and friends to offer comfort and support. I have always treasured memories of Lew and Susan's wedding. This southern girl had never been to a wedding where there was dancing at the reception! Thanks Lew for the spins around the dance floor. And maybe, most al all, thanks for loving my BFF.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Lew. It brings a smile to our hearts that perhaps a fellow " PRU pal" Maria Spinelli, who passed away in January, was at Heaven's Gate with a huge welcome hug. Those are the thoughts that help those left get thru such profound loss and grief.

I send my condolences to the family and friends. Losing a loved one is not easy. Our heavenly creator is there for us and will provide us with the comfort we need. Psalms 65:2

I have lost a wonderful son-in-law. I was very fortunate to have spent with him, along with other family members, some of his last days. The last of these was in October 2012, when he and my daughter Susan were my guests. We had many family gatherings and you wouldn't have suspected that Lew was a dying man, since he was so like the Lew we had always known. It seemed that this is probably not the last we will see of him in this life, but we knew it was. God Speed Lew Bolitho. Your memory will live with us forever.

I was saddened to learn that Lew succumbed to pancreatic cancer. I will continue to remember Lew in my mind and in my heart. I share comfort in knowing Lew is no longer suffering. It will be the little things that we all will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again. I will always be thankful for Lew, not only as my manager with his guidance in the development about my career but as a human being for understanding that we all have a personal life outside of work especially when my daughter was very ill and then needed surgery. Lew had a heart of gold and I will be forever grateful for everything he did as my manager and as a friend. Words, however kind, can't mend our heartache but we share the loss of a remarkable man and as we find comfort and peace of mind with the strength and warm embrace of friends and family. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort us all.

Super Lew Bolitho,
Your Florida family sends our love, our regrets, and our hopes and prayers that you have found peace and comfort in the after-life. We bless you for being such a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, neighbor, employer/employee, and friend to so many. For a quiet and unassuming guy, you left quite a footprint and the legend of Super Lew will live on through those many lives that you have so graciously and selflessly touched! You left the world a better place, Super Lew, and your mom and dad and every one of us is darn proud of you and lucky to have been in your life and to have had you in ours. May God bless and comfort you and your family this day forward and forever more!!
