My husband use to play ball with Rody and spoke well of him. May you draw comfort from your memories and the God the comfort. Our thoughts and prayers we with his family and friends at this most difficult time.
Quite often when I read the obituaries I am reminded that God gave all of us something truly precious-Life! Yes, life is a gift from God. Of all the many gifts a person could ever hope to receive there is one that stands out above all others. That gift is the ransom sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ which will do away with death. Losing Rody tragically and at such a young age is heartrending. But you can be sure that God has Rody in His memory and will restore him back to life, a life that could be everlasting. I hope your family will find comfort in God's promises.
Psalm 36:9 & 1John 4:9-10
My sincere, heartfelt condolences, goes out to the entire FanFan Family. Rody was family to me also , he use to date my granddaughter, Kindel K. Bryant, so I knew him well, he was very respectful, and a joy to be around. When I was informed of his demise, it was truly difficult to believe. Each of you will remain in my prayers, thoughts, and heart. Rody touched so many lives with his kindness, he will never be forgotten. God knows just how much we can bare, and we are never let alone to bare it all. We cannot be there in person; but we are there Spiritually, sending our love to all. RIP: OUR DEAR RODY 'SPEEDY' FANFAN.
“A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth. It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.”—Eccl. 7:1-6, “Authorized Version.”
