Hallie Connolly-Aubin Obituary

Hallie G. Connolly-Aubin, 73, of Island Heights, N.J., died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, N.J. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 28, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, N.J. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. Committal will be private. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com. Hallie was born in New York City, N.Y., and lived in Boonton Township, N.J., before moving to Island Heights 17 years ago. She was a graduate of St. John's School in Mountain Lakes, N.J., and Smith College, where she received her bachelor's degree in art, architecture and community planning. She was a leading environmental activist and led the organization Citizens for the Preservation of Northern Montville, N.J. She was also a member of the Lake Valhalla Club in Montville. She was president of Connolly Environmental in Island Heights for many years and a founding member of the New Jersey Association of Environmental Professionals. She loved to sail. Hallie is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, John E. Aubin; two sons, James R. Connolly and Richard S. Connolly and his wife, Patricia; her step-daughter, Christine Zoino and her husband, Bert; her brother, John Coles, and six grandchildren, Logan, Carlyn, Chloe, Rhys, Luke, and Dustin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106 New York, N.Y. 10087-7106.

May 4, 2013. Hallie, a very pleasant, bright, committed and hard working friend in Montville - Lake Valhalla. We worked on the CPNM all those years ago. Our eldest daughter Jennifer was friendly with Hallie's son Richard. Our family very fondly remembers Hallie and send our heartfelt wishes. God bless you Hallie. Be at Peace.
