Joseph Russo, 86, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted by the Zarro Funeral Home, (www.zarrofuneralhome.net), 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield, N.J., on Monday, Dec. 16, at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belleville, N.J. Interment is at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visitation will be on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, from 1 to 5 p.m. Mr. Russo was born in Newark, N.J., lived in Belleville and Bloomfield for many years before moving to Lavallette, N.J., 20 years ago. He was a master tinsmith for many years before working for Continental Insurance Co. in the maintenance department. Joe is survived by his loving sisters, Ann Petronaci, Lucy Russo and Margaret Rogers; brother and sister-in-law, William and Mamie; loving and devoted niece to one of her favorite "uncles" Tiffany. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Louise (Pesci) Russo in March of this year. He dearly missed her and spoke often of reuniting with her. Louise was the love of his life. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Dan, Sonny, his twin, Ben, Catherine Mancinelli, and Grace Tavormina. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Bancroft, P.O. Box 20, Hopkins Lane, Haddonfield, N.J. 08033 Attention: Development would be appreciated.
