Kenneth A. McClain, 89, of Morristown, N.J., died on Jan. 9, 2019.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, 12 Hollywood Ave., Fairfield, N.J. 07004. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, Roseland, N.J.

Born and raised in Portland, Ore., Mr. McClain moved to the Philadelphia, Pa., area in 1970. He then resided in Little Falls, N.J., for some time, moved to Fairfield, N.J., and settled in Morristown about 10 years ago.
Prior to his retirement, he was the owner and operator of The Plant Place stores, located in the Willowbrook Mall and Plant Place Greenhouses in Fairfield. In his spare time, he enjoyed horticulture and reading.
He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Marjorie McClain, and siblings, Harold, Robert, Betty, Annette, and Don.
He is survived by his beloved children, Carol Cortes (Ruben), Scott K. McClain (Yvonne), and Meghann Mautone (Joseph); loving stepchildren, Bill Greer, Gale Greer, Robin Greer, and John Greer, Carolyn Russo, and Doreen Brooks; cherished grandchildren, Mia, Eion, Molly, and Sophie, and dear brother, David McClain. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org.
