What a wonderful experience to have met dearest Sister Mary. The Saints in heaven are moving over and making room for this great witness to the Faith. Sister will be remembered at the celebration of Mass this coming week. Somehow, I get the feeling she is already hearing our petitions in our prayer intentions. Sister was the new Mother Cabrini. What precious joy is hers as she sees the face of God. Dearest Sister Mary De Bacco, pray for us.

Sincerely in Christ,
Father Eugene Marcone

My deepest sympathy to the family. May you find comfort in God's Word at John 6:40

I was so privileged to have Sister Mary as my teacher for both sixth and eighth grades at Our Lady Queen of Peace School in Maywood, N.J. She was my very favorite teacher, gentle and sweet, but quite capable of taking control of a classroom full of preteens even as a very young woman!
Years later, when I first met my husband-to-be Joe, I learned that his family knew the DeBaccos as well. Sister Mary and her brother Paul had been great friends with his Uncle Anthony Pascucci as young children. Eventually we came to know the Valgenti family too when we were all parishioners at St.Margaret's Church in Morristown.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Angela and all the rest of the family as we know Sister Mary will be sorely missed. I myself will never forget her, and will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.
