Sally Dunn Elizabeth city staffer and wife of longtime mayor Sally Essig Dunn, wife of the late Elizabeth, N.J., Mayor Thomas Dunn, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 6, 2018. A Bridgeman, Mich., native, Sally graduated from Michigan State University in 1958 before moving to Elizabeth. She served as the executive secretary in the mayor's office from 1965 to 1992. Sally is survived by sister, Vickie, and brother-in-law, William Hudec of Murrysville, Pa.; niece, Angelique, and nephews, Michael and Timothy Hudec, also of Pennsylvania. Sally will especially be missed by the Dunn, Priestley, and Palumbo families. Funeral services were held privately under the direction of Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, Westfield, N.J.

What a wonderful woman! I had the pleasure of serving on Jury Duty with Mrs. Dunn. She made the time pass quickly. The world would be a better place if there were more people like Mrs. Dunn. Wishing you peace.
