I was so sorry to learn that Bob had passed away. Alane please accept my condolences; I know that he was a loving and thoughtful husband. Suzy and Jason I want you to know that your Dad made a significant and long lasting contributions to the success of Carolina Athletics. Apart from being the spear head of Carolina Fever ( that student group exists today) he was the lead athletic person in the development and success of the Tar Heel Sports Marketing. He represented UNC and Tar Heel Sports Marketing across the country bringing sponsorships that were never thought possible. As a result of his work and the work of so many others, the University is able to maintain a 28 sport program. Besides that, he was a loyal and contributing member of the staffs of several Athletic Directors including mine.
I regret that our paths did not cross after his retirement but I often heard that he was enjoying the retirement that he so ably earned. Suzy and Jason he often spoke of you and your careers. He was so justifiably proud and I know that must have been the case with his grandkids.
May all of your find peace and strength in the life he lead and the values he left behind that will always be a part of your family. Dick Baddour
