Remembering Christine and her many years as my piano student long, long ago. She was a joy to teach. May you find that joy in each other as time goes on.

Dearest Brian,

My name is Marna Reinhardt, and my husband, Bruce, and I used to own Immaculate Confections. I presume you remember us from the Fancy Food Shows quite a long time ago. I will never forget how you sent us one of your prototype sample boxes of truffles when you were just starting out in 1997. You wanted our opinion of your products, and of course...even then...your truffles were exquisite.

Many years have passed, and just yesterday I was flipping through a food industry trade magazine and happened to see a small report of your wife, Christine's, passing. My heart stopped...and I felt deep sadness. For you, I feel a very strong connected compassion, as a chocolatier, as an entrepreneur, as a surviving spouse, and as a single parent. I lost my Bruce to liver cancer just this last December 18th. Together we have a 14 year old daughter.

My heart goes out to you, Brian, and to your son...and I just wanted to let you know that I have never forgotten you. From afar, through all of these years, I have admired the incredible contribution to the chocolate industry that you and your wife have achieved.

My prayers are with you and your family...as you carry on. I am so sorry for your loss.

Very warmly,

Marna Reinhardt

I cannot believe what I've come across while searching B.T. McElrath. I am shocked and truly saddened by this. I remembered her like it was yesterday. My deep condolences goes out to you (Brian) and your boy Guillermo. It hit me good, like news of losing someone close.
I wish you the best moving forward with this.
