Ed Juntilla was a sergeant when I came on the MPD Jan '69. He was the recruit class sergeant. He was slow to anger and very knowledgable. I and his police family mourns at his passing from this life along with his immediate family. I am a better person after meeting Ed Juntilla. God bless

It was Ed that got me started in the traffic aspect of law enforcement. His direction and encouragement put me on a path of how and why traffic accidents occur. A path I am still on today. At our monthly luncheons Ed always was upbeat and had good stories and words to say about everyone. He was a great leader, supervisor, and man. I will miss you Ed. Rest in peace.

Lt. Juntilla was without question the best supervisor I had in my 20 years in the Minneapolis Police Dept. He always had a positive attitude about everything, and always had something good to say about everyone. He sure made coming to work something to look forward to. My sympathies to his family. He was a prince of a man and may he rest in peace.

I knew Ed from the Police Department but really got to know him as a friend the last several years when a group of retired MPD get together for lunch monthly. He always had a good story and was great to be around. He never complained about his health. I will miss him and forever be grateful that I got to know him as a good friend this last few years. Rest in peace my friend you will be greatly missed by all of your luncheon buddies.
