Dearest Dan. How appropriate to "light a candle" for you. The "candles" you have given to so many of us not only light our way down the road, but through life as well. You are remembered and cherished!
Dan's legacy and helping others continues to live on. Reading his posts on Rennlist concerning a headlight problem, he listed a common wire failure area. When I checked my wiring, sure enough it was broken exactly where he said. I had to look up to the sky, give a thumbs up and laugh. Thanks Dan. And condolences to his family who also sacrificed some of their time with him to allow him to help others. With as many posts that he made, his wife deserves the "Medal Of Honor" in patience. :) RIP
My condolences. Dan was a knowledgable and respected member of Rennlist and he will be missed.
I just found out about Dan's passing... :( I will always think of him fondly, and this news has hit me so hard. :( I recall when I had trouble with his amazing "IceShark" headlight system on a car I bought; he was so helpful and kind, and gave me wonderful customer service on a product that was not even directly purchased from him. He made a great impression on me, and I wish to express my condolences, however belatedly, to his family.
I never got to meet Dan, but his help over the years through Rennlist was always timely and sincere. We've lost one of the good hearts in the rennlist community....rest in peace Dan...

Dan, my prayers go out to you and your family. You will be greatly missed. Thank you again for everything you've done for me and the Rennlist Community.I am truely sorry to here this news.
I knew Dan through Rennlist and one in-person meeting where we talked Porsche's and he gave me his excellent wiring kit. He was a fine person and will be missed.
Sincere condolences. We never met.. but shared many interests. Kindship can develop via electronic means.
My contact with Dan was through the Rennlist forum and he will be missed by all of us who had even such limited contact. My thoughts go out to his family.
I only knew Dan through Rennlist, but I was always impressed with his comportment and knowledge of cars. He will be missed.
Dan and I corresponded on many occassions, up until a couple of months ago. I lived in Washington State when I first purchased Dan's Porsche lighting products through the Rennlist Porsche Web Forum. Yes, the products were great. But what was more enlightening to me was having the opportunity to get to know Dan. I enjoyed his wit in the numerous emails we exchanged. We not only talked about Porsches. In fact, we exchanged anecdotes about life in general. It was during a few of these exchanges that I came to learn that he was a CPA, had visited Singapore in the past and loved sailing.
I have also come to respect a man who understood one's reptutation is earned by building trust with others. Trust does not not come easily in an Internet virtual community. And yet, the last couple of days of shock and sadness displayed on the Rennlist Porsche Web Forum when we learnt of his passing reflects the high regard in which we have come to respect Dan.
Dan, I hope you are reading this from your heavenly perch.....
Thanks for everything buddy. It is too bad most of us did not get a chance to meet you. My wife is from the South Dakota area, and I was actually mulling over the idea of swinging by the Minneapolis area and having a cold one with you. We have yet to know the circumstances in which you departed the earthly abode. But we are comforted to know that you will no longer need to work on improving the lighting conditions in your new journey....Rest in Peace buddy.
Condolences to the Wray family. Like others on here, I knew Dan through a Porsche BBS.
I always have admired the knowledge Dan possessed.. He is someone I aspire to be like. May he RIP.

This man had a never compromise attitude in his product quality, and I believe his life. He was the epitome of honesty, inegrity and class. He will be missed by a world in dire need of many more like him. Go with God Dan.
I only knew Dan through his involvement through the Rennlist community. The workmanship on the wiring kit that he produced was second to none. He will be sorely missed.
My condolences to his family.
RIP Dan, you will be missed.
I met Dan on the Rennlist, five years ago, & got to know him quite well through countless e-mails & many hours of phone conversations, our topics often veering far from Porsches. His extensive lighting & wiring knowledge was virtually unchallenged on the Porsche forums, which include thousands of people from around the world. He helped many, myself included, to make their cars better & safer with his lighting & battery cable kits. This mail-order business took him tons of time & was never profitable. He did it out of his love for cars & people. He will be sorely missed. I only wish now that I had tried harder to actually meet him in person- we never seem to have enough time. I'm sure he led a full life, but, it was definately cut short & we, his friends & family, lost him far too early. Rest in peace Dan- we will never forget you- you will always be in our hearts...
Goodbye friend, you will be missed. See ya on the other side.
RIP Dan, you will be missed!
