I am so sorry for the family of Cantor Markovits, who I knew and worked with at B'Nai Emet. My deepest sympathies are with you at this difficult time. He was a wonderful person with a big heart, and I will always remember him with great affection.

Pnina, Liz, Irit, and Julie, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed my time spent with your Sholom. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am very sorry to learn of the Cantor's passing--we had so many years of wonderful music-making with the Cantor, Steve Barnett and the B'nai Emet choir. One could always see how much he loved his family; we all enjoyed his great sense of humor as well. My deepest condolences to all of the family.

It was with profound saddness that I learned of the Cantor's passing. I worked along side of him for many, many years at Bnai Emet. He was a true inspiration to me. He was a Cantor's Cantor. I highly respected him since the first moment we met. When I asked him to officiate at my mother's funeral, he did not hesitate even for one second and agreed. May his memory be always for a blessing.

Cantor Markovits helped me prepare for my Bar Mitzvah and was the cantor at my wedding. I always enjoyed his bellowing voice as he sang beautifully on the High Holidays. He will always hold a special place in my memories.
