For Mother:

I received this additional, very welcome message from Your former teammate in U.S. Customs, Inspector Mike Cleveland.

Dear Roy and family,

Bless you and your dear late mom. We worked together for U. S. Customs at LAX and she was a mentor and a beloved peer to us all. I am pleased to see that her Legacy book will remain open, as surely as the memories I hold of her and my dealings with her remain perpetually opened and will never come to rest.

God Bless,

Mike Cleveland

My Dearest, Most Wonderful, Blessed Mother -
One Year Ago Today We Said Our Last Farewells.
I Wish I Could Tell You, Mother, How Much You Mean To Me,
How Much I Admire You,
How Much I Respect You,
How Much I Appreciate You,
How Much I Thank You,
How Much I Love You,
How Much I Miss You.
You Are Everything To Me.
I Visit Your Grave Most Every Day,
And I Always Will.
I Promise To Continue In Your Name,
Doing The Good Deeds That You Did.
Thank You For Bringing Me Into The Mlinar Family
And Into The Quady Family.
God Bless You, Mother.

My Dearest, Most Wonderful, Blessed Mother was born here in The Twin Cities (northeast Minneapolis, to be exact) 96 years ago, on April 3rd, 1917.

Mother loved Minnesota, but She loved southern California even more. That's where She raised me after my Father was killed in action during World War II.

I have returned here to Minnesota and this is where I hope to live out the rest of my life, only three blocks from Mother's eternal resting place.

Thanks to all who have signed Mother's Guest Book. You are extra special to me. Mother's Guest Book will remain open permanently. So please feel free to sign again if you wish.

Dear Roy, On behalf of the 15 survivors of your father's Naval Academy Class, 1938, we extend our sympathy and condolences on the loss of your Mother. Regretfully, I never had the privilege of knowing her.

Sincerely, Rear Admiral Paul G. Schultz, USN (Ret), Class Secretary.
