My condolences go out to the Poland`family.
I can not believe he is gone.
I met Dr. Poland in 1994 when he performed RK vision corrective surgery on both of my eyes. I was very happy with the results.
I remember him telling me stories about going to the U of M with the famous Bob Dylan, and missing an opportunity to buy the Crosby Mines Recreation Area in the 1970's for cheap, and many other interesting stories.
To me, he was much more than an "eye doctor".
Sometimes my friends would ask me why I drive 85 miles one-way to an eye appointment. My response was always that I want the best for my eyes.
It has always been a pleasure knowing him.
