Martha was one of the sweetest people I have ever met! She crosses my mind from time to time. I learned a lot from her. I would love when she would say "The proof was in the pudding." I am truly sorry for your loss. She will always be remembered.

Dear Uncle Gordy, Bob, Carol and all of the Family,
I am so sorry I cannot be with you in Florida, but know I am with you in spirit. My deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers go out to you all during this trying time. I know Martha is in a better place and at peace with God. I have some memories I would like to share....
I remember Aunt Martha as a very handsome woman, always gracious and charming, always elegant, a real "Southern Belle". I greatly admired and appreciated her keen sense of style with her beautiful home interiors and her personal style; always looking impeccable. Growing up I enjoyed the in-person visits to and from my Uncle Gordy and Aunt Martha, particularly when Martha was joking with her beloved "Barb". Upon leaving, Martha, on occassion, would misplace her purse. Uncle Gordy would then give her a bit of a hard time, then the scenario would, without a doubt, break out into much laughter and Martha's charm and grace was always in check. Aunt Martha also had a delightful sense of humor. She was indeed a grand lady. I also enjoyed wonderful conversations with her, just the two of us, as I visited with her several times during the later years of her living in Edina. She was a great cook, fixed me dinner and taught we by example how NOT to over eat...this I greatly appreciated. Isn't it fascinating what we learn from our family and the impact our loved ones can have on us. My memories of Aunt Martha are precious and many. God be with you all. Take good care and I hope to talk with you soon. Much Love, Lana
