I have no words that can give you much comfort during this time, as I know that this is such a difficult time. Waiting for my son to be returned home was especially difficult for me. I know the tremendous grief you are experiencing right now. At times it feels overwhelming. You will never forget him, of course, but in time, it will not be such a heavy burden of grief to bear. However, it will always be there...simmering below the surface. But I think that is just the way it is when a parent loses a child. I still think of my son every day. But, in time, it does get easier. If there is anything that I can do to help you through this time, please contact me as needed.
