Ennen, Michelle L. age 47, of Maple Grove, passed away September 6, 2008. Michelle was born on July 15, 1961 in Minneapolis. Preceded in death by nephew, John Everson. Survived by loving children, Kathleen and Bill and their father, Mike Casserly; parents, Dr. Joseph Ennen and Eileen Ennen; brothers, Pat (Barb), Greg (Kathy), Tom (Paula), Jim (Mary Lou), Steve (Tina), John (Jennifer); sisters, Mary Fiala (Dick), Margaret Everson (Mark), and Maureen; nieces and nephews, Joe (Linda), Mike (Melissa), Bridget Berg (Leif), Bill (Becki), Dan (Moira), Rob (Karen), Colleen, Rachel Gilbert (Collin), Dave, Sara, Amy, Andrew, Matt Fiala (Kathy), Mark Fiala, Anne Everson, Tom Everson, Jim, Julia; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her many friends in the community and at the Star Tribune. She graduated from DeLaSalle High School, the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Journalism, and the University of St. Thomas with a Masters of Business Communications. Michelle was a valued marketing executive at the Star Tribune with 25 years of employment. Michelle told stories centered on people, stories filled with verve and imagination. She breathed such life into the characters that when you met them years later, you knew them, and they were exactly as Michelle depicted them. Her stories were not precise recountings of events as they occurred. They were legends that spoke to the truth in each of us: who we are in relation to each other. It was this, her charm and imagination, that captivated those who knew her. Her passion above all else was for her children, Kathleen and Bill, the focus of her life. They are her lasting legacy. It is through them we see who Michelle was. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, Sept. 10th, 11am at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 26th and Queen Ave. North, Minneapolis. Private interment. Visitation Tuesday, Sept. 9th, 5-8pm at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 37th Ave. North & Vicksburg Lane and one hour before the Mass at the church. Memorials preferred to the family. Special thanks to Dr. Evavold and the staff on 4 East at Methodist Hospital. Gearty-Delmore 763-553-1411
