I didn't know Nancy but she was my daughter- in-law's doctor, Anita died in january, she cared for her during her illness with melanoma , she was the greatest person in the world according to Anita, she helped her through some bad times, and even after Anita died , she cared for my son and her family. I just wanted to thank you for sharing such a wonderful person, God bless you! I am sure that Anita was the firs
t person to welcome her into the Lord's Kingdom as she thought the world of Dr English

I had the good fortune of knowing both Nancy and her husband during the 80's in Fargo. We all worked together. In fact, I got her job as Aging Coordinator when she left for Med school.

Nancy was a gifted gal! Well ahead of her age in her vision and leadership. I also thought that she was gifted with a wonderfully secure partner who supported her with pride.

I have not seen them since that time..but can only imagine what a great family they created.

The cliche 'the good die young' rings very true in this situation! Her energy will continue to inspire.

My heart is with you all.

I'm visiting Duluth briefly from my new home in New Zealand and saw this very sad notice in the newspaper. Nancy was a friend back when our children were all growing up in Montessori (Odin & Carey Biron) and I have fond memories of her and your family. My most heartfelt and warmest thoughts to Tom and the girls. Nancy will be sadly missed.

I was so saddened to discover the news that Nancy has died. My husband and I had the wonderful chance to know her at UMD Medical school- she was always a spark of light and cheerfulness for everyone. Despite being a busy mom and wife she took on Medical School's daunting task and did it so well. My heart goes out to her family- she was an amazing and special person whose light shone very brightly.

I met Nancy only once, but felt that I knew her already through all of the wonderful memories Emily shared with me about her mom. What an amazing woman and inspiration to us all. My deepest sympathies to her family. Emily, my heart is with you, I am so sorry.
