I was Terribly Saddened to Read of the Passing of Mr.(Arthur) Metcalfe.
I attended Eastwood High School 1976, and had taken Mr. Metcalfe's Class.
I Enjoyed his Class so much, I still remember him after all these years.

I am saddened to hear of the loss of your Dad.You spoke often of him as we both spoke of our Dads a lot.I appreciate that you were always so considerate to ask aabout my Dad. I am glad the buyout became available so that you were able to spend valuable time with him.
The family of Mary B Fernandez wishes to express our sorrow to the family of Arthur Metcalf. As you know our mother was very fond of her cousin Arthur. She was always telling us wonderful stories of their childhood. My brother
Leo and I will always remember the great fireworks displays he conducted every 4th of July when we were children. He was full of life and a great friend. You were very fortunate and blessed to have such a father.
We the Cathedral High School Alumni wish extend to the Arthur Metcalfe family our deepest sympathy. There is little that we can say that will comfort you in this hour of your bereavement.
May you find solace in the inspiring memories of Arthurs exemplary life. May he enjoy his eternal rest and the rewards he has earned.
We hope that you derive some measure of comfort in the knowledge that we share your grief. It saddens the heart when one of our own is sent to his glorious reward. But you can rest assured that he will not be forgotten by our brotherhood. May he rest in peace!
Arthur along with his deceased family members will be remembered in the Novembers All Souls alumni Mass for Cathedral High School Alumni at the St. Patrick's Cathedral.
Mr. Metcalfe was one of my history teachers at Bel Air Junior High School. He always comported himself with dignity and humility. I appreciate the time that he invested in my education and wish I could have told him so. But we become so involved in our own lives that we forget and overlook those who helped to shape us. My wife and I offer our condolences, thoughts and prayers to the Metcalfe family and especially to Adolph whom I had the pleasure of working with.
Rest In Peace Uncle Art. Mom and I send you all our love and prayers. God Bless you all. Susan Keffer and Alma Kessel
Dear Metcalfe Family,
We are saddened at the loss of your father/grandfather. We enjoyed the visit with him in April at Adolph's birthday party. When I greeted him and asked ,"How are you doing?" he responded with a grin from ear to ear, "Great, I'm still here!" May the Lord comfort you in his loving embrace and may your memories bring you smiles from ear to ear like the smile your dad/grandpa had on his face the last time we saw him.

To All of the children.
Your parents were wonderful loving people. I have fond memories of them. When my brother, Walter A. Williams,III was born I stayed with them at the Poppin House over the store. I remember Aunna Ree and Uncle Arthur in my daily prayers. Your dad and my dad were high school chums. Your parents were my brother Walter's God parents. When Mike was in the hospital six months your Mom checked on us and brought puzzles and stuff to keep Mike entertaained. They taught with my sister Paula.
You are all in our prayers. "Baby Judy"
