Dear Doles Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time. Chris made a big impression on me when he visited my father in the hospital. He greeted me with a big hug at my father's visitation and funeral the next week. We were so saddened to hear of his passing. Although I only met him a couple of times, I could tell he was a great guy who will be missed by all.
Thoughts and Prayers to the Family and Friends during their great loss.
God Bless All,
R.I.P. Brother. Condolences to the family and friends for the loss of a great man.
vaya con Dios
may the Lord bless you and yours always!
I'm sorry for your families loss. He will be missed and remembered by the Lakeway Community.
I have known Chris since we were Juniors in High School. He was my best friend and best man at my wedding. Chris lived with me and my family even after I got married. My Parents loved him and treated him like a Son. He had a hard childhood, but he was a fighter and never let it get him down. As we got older and had families we got busy taking care of them. Chris moved to Waco for better opportunities. We lost touch, but I thought of him often and even visited a few times over the years. When I heard of his death my heart was heavy for him and his family. You never know how much someone touches your life till they are gone. I will miss you old friend. RIP
Marchelle, Kyle, Meredith and I extend our deepest sympathy to Chris's family at this time of loss. The Little League years in Waco which we shared with you represented a special time. Chris and I competed hard against each other and coached together at other times. Chris's passion for life, desire to help/teach others, love for his family and baseball were ever present and a testimony to others. May God's peace sustain you.
I'm so incredibly sorry for your immeasurable loss. Your family is in our prayers.
To The Family of Sgt. Christopher Doles: My prayers of condolences are extended to you. I fondly remember "Chris" as a a cheerful person while having the privilege of working with him at Waco PD.
We met Chris thru our sons playing baseball. Caleb and Colin, we are very sorry to hear about your Dad. We enjoyed spending time with y'all at the ball fields playing tournaments and just hanging out. It was always a good time. Hold on to those good memories. We are thinking about you and praying for you both.
The Olivarez Family-Randy,Shannon,Dailen, and Jaime.
So in shock. Saying prayers for you all. Amy Skeen-Anderson
Although I did not know Chris well, I live in the Lakeway community and saw him on numerous occasions. One, in particular, was when he tried a hot yoga class. He was so funny, nice, and I could tell he was a kind man. My heart goes out to his family. Please know that his service to our community will forever be remembered and I am very thankful for men like him who put themselves in harms way in order to protect us. May God be with you.
My heart breaks for your family... I used to wait on Chris, his wife & Caleb at Outback years ago & were some of my most favorite guests. So sorry for your loss. Many prayers coming your way.
I look forward to seeing you in heaven; I will always remember the fun times with my big brother. Love you
We knew Chris when he worked for us the summer of 1984 at Brookhaven Camp & Conference Center north of Tyler, TX. We were delighted to see some pictures of that summer in the portfolio of his life. His bright smile and imitation of John Wayne, "Howdy Pilgrim," added so much humor to the hard work of a summer youth camp. We were "Papa Bear" and "Mama Bear" to him ... and we knew him by his camp nickname - "Doober." We had not seen him for years, but were so saddened when we learned of his untimely death. Our deepest sympathies go out to the family. He was a great guy, and we loved him. We shall look forward to the time when we will laugh and praise the Lord again together.
Kristin, Caleb, Collin, Jordan, and Kendall-
I originally met Chris as a 'neighbor' but during the years we lived there he became a friend. He would truly give anything for his family and friends! He will be missed by many!
Deepest sympathies to the family, coworkers, and friends of this hero. May it comfort you to know that others understand your loss, and our hearts are sad.

RIP thank you for all of your encouragement. I will miss your big smile, but most of all I will miss you. Everytime I go to speak on the radio I promise to speak loudly! To your wife Kristin and children, I'm praying for comfort and strength for your loss and you will always have this family here at Lakeway PD.

SGT. Doles, RIP brother.
You inspired many to become better. I am thankful for your guidance and "talks" we had. I will miss you.
-Truly, one of the best.
Until we meet again my brother.
You were not only my Sergeant but, my friend. I am honored to have known you and will miss you very much. When my time comes we will meet again. Thank you for being in my life.
Chris Doles, I remember the first time that I met you...sitting in the squad room stone-faced and with quiet reserve. I thought, this guy is mean, but you were far from that. I have since changed my thoughts, your "Quietness" spoke volumes in your love for your family and in your dedication to the Lakeway PD and it's citizens. You were an officer of great integrity and a great man. I have gained so much from your knowledge, your respect and values made you a great husband, officer, friend and Man. I find comfort in knowing that you are looking down on your family and the Lakeway PD. Not only were you my friend but you were my brother, You, Chris Doles will be greatly missed but NEVER Forgotten. R.I.P. I Love You My Brother, God Speed...
Chris was a very good man in so many ways. Though he could be rough around the edges when you first meet him if you have him the chance you found that he was truly a rose. I will miss our deep conversations about God, family and work. I will always look forward to the day we will be able to laugh again in the presence of our Lord in Heaven!!
Words are inadequate to describe what your friendship meant to me. We laughed, we've cried, and the times we shared together will never be forgotten. I will miss you terribly. But this isn't goodbye. It's I'll see you later.
Our hearts are heavy for you and your family Kristen. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you go through your difficult journey.
Dear Kristin, I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you & your husband in my prayers.
Chris, you were a great man. I will never forget our workout sessions at the gym, and your guidance. I still remember seeing you at the store a few months ago in Lakeway, and thinking as I was entering lakeway I wonder if I will see you today, and I did.
Hey Kristin and other people that are reading this Chris is my best friend, my mentor, a leader, when i heard of the news i was very terrified and upset but i remember Chris loved me just the way i was even with my autism chris is one of the greatist men i ever known R.I.P Chris i salute to you.
RIP Sgt. Doles. You were a man among men. Thank you for your guidance and wisdom. You have touched my life in a way that I will never forget. See you on the other side brother.
Chris, you were a wonderful match for Kristin and we all welcomed and enjoyed getting to know you. Each time we would be with you we would come away with a little more of your quiet personality. God needed you for His work. Your spirit will continue working in those you loved as you keep a watchful eye from above. May Kristin and your family smile as they remember happy times with you by their sides.
RIP. You will be missed. Praying for your loved ones.
Kristin I am so sorry to hear this news. I will be praying for you and your family. Like I said on Facebook "Tears heal, memories comfort and love goes on forever" May the Lord keep and comfort you.
Thank you for teaching me that life revolves around family, for supporting me in my work, for passing along fatherly advice, and helping me believe in myself. I will miss you greatly dear friend.
My heart goes out to his family. I have known Chris for 14 years when I started working at the theater that he was in charge of the security. He was one of my favorite officers to work with because he always made us laugh. He always offered me encouraging words which meant more to me than he would ever know.
Loved you like my brother. Glad you were part of my life and I will see you in heaven.
RIP Chris. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and all of your friends. You were an inspiration to a lot of people.
