Jaime, your presence has been missed for 10 weeks now and your absence is not any easier for those of us left behind to grieve and mourn.

This lit candle symbolizes the light and love of your journey into God's safe haven.

This Sunday, June 17th, is "Father's Day," and you will be honored and missed beyond words....but, know this Jaime. Your death has brought together a sense of renewal. New friendships and relationships have developed. Some may stay and some may not, but nevertheless, you've brought many people together-many from afar.

Don't fret for too long, your "familia's" not taking this walk of grief alone. Your beautiful daughters have a strong support system in their mother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and your brothers in blue.

Happy Father's Day to you Jaime...

Thank you all for your kind words, beautiful prayers and support you have expressed through this guest book. I have read every single one of your heartfelt entries - they are both comforting and very meaningful to our family. Jaime will always live as long as we remember him.
We will most definitely look to his memories for comfort and shall continue to look to our God for healing. Jaime was a humble man of God that was raised with great love, respect, dignity and honor. It makes me very proud to see that Jaime will always be remembered with the same values our father and mother instilled in him. His young daughters will always know that their Daddy loved them so much and that he was a true American Hero way before this ever happened.
My heart was overwhelmed at the outpour of support from Law Enforcement, First responders, Citizens, friends and family from Austin to San Angelo and across the nation. This was a beautiful and honorable experience that I will never forget.
I am extremely proud that my brother chose to serve his country as a Marine and then to serve his community as a San Angelo Police officer and lastly to moved to the great city of Austin to serve as Senior Police Officer. He was very passionate about life and he loved his job. He had many brothers and sisters in blue whom he loved and who loved him back. No doubt he leaves a space in the Austin PD that will never be filled.
With great honor and respect
