MUSICK, Virginia Lee
Virginia Lee Musick, our Din, age 82, died on April 30, 2014, at home in Austin Texas, from complications of Parkinsons disease. Born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Din was the daughter of Mary Virginia Rush and Clovis Clyde Morrisson. Her early years were spent mostly in Port Arthur, Texas. Although she turned down an invitation to medical school, she graduated with two degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
Virginia's mission in life was to ease suffering and injustice using her talents in medicine and social work. Besides her family, she found great satisfaction in several jobs: diagnosing cancer cells in the lab; as a medical social worker; as a medical disability examiner, and finally as an administrative law judge for Texas Rehabilitation Commission. She prized knowledge, kindness and love. She and Bill resolved to leave the world better than they found it.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Musick, and grandson Ben Reagan. Left to cherish her memory: brother Clovis Morrisson, Jr; sisters in law Marilyn Morrisson and Mildred Carlsen; daughters Becky Lynch, Ruth Reagan and her husband Don, Marty Bruner and her husband Andy. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild along with other loving relatives and dear friends.
We express our gratitude to the staff at Westminster Manor Assisted Living, and 2 West, for your compassionate care. You know who you are.
