My mom, Franny King, met Marion when they both lived in Stanfordville, NY. I can remember taking my girls to the antique store also! Marion was a sweet and gracious woman and will be missed. Franny can't get online, so I'm writing for her too. Sympathies from the King family.
With deepest sympathy. My toughts and prayers are with you at this time.

A most gracious woman with great sincerity.
A pleasure to have crossed path's with her.
Dear. Family of Mrs. Creswell,
I don't think any of you know me but during some of my early childhood years my grandmother, Eva. Shook, would come to the Creswell home and was hired to do laundry. She loved your family and I have vague memories of going to the farm there. You have my sympathy and prayers. Bobette Wright Berger

Creswell Family - We are saddened to hear of the passing of your Mom . Our families have been friends for many decades and "Simmy" as she was known, was always a kind, and thoughtful friend . I spent many hours talking Stanford History with her in her Antique Shop in Stanford , and will remember her kind smile , and gentle demeanor always . We sympathize with you, God Bless. A life filled with family and music. I remember when her husband was on the Poughkeepsie Savings Bank board of directors. As a young Bank employee, I was amazed at her accomplishments. I was surprised no one followed her as a music artist.
So sorry to learn of your Mom's passing-I recall her bringing the kids to church with Rev. Schiebel.
Billy Ostrum, a fellow baseball player from Amenia, relate to you?
Warm regards from "Old Stanfordville"
So sorry to learn of your Mom's passing....I recall her ( and her "tribe") at church in the 50's and 60's...with Rev. Schiebel

I would like to offer Marion's family my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of this remarkable woman! I met her while I was the Activity Director at Westview and she was truly one of the kindest, gentlest, sweetest ladies I have ever met and I truly enjoyed the time I spent with her and the family I had the privilege of meeting. Thinking of you and wishing you peace.
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy.
