Dear Barby: Roberta and I are so saddened by Joe's passing. We had some
wonderful times together debating in Baylor, and his personality and friendship will long be remembered. Please know that when you hurt, your friends hurt with you. May God Bless you and all the family. Bill Bailey

Robert,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of your father. Please share my condolences with your mother. Your father was very kind to me each and every time I had the pleasure of his company. He was a brilliant American entrepreneur and his purchase of KATV was the best thing that every happened to us. I wish I had the opportunity to thank him for putting food on my table for all those years. I know how proud he must have been of you as well. My best. Thoughts and prayers.
