Judith and Family,
Robert will be dearly missed. He always had a smile and a warm handshake. I will miss seeing him at church and finding out what adventures he was up to.

The last words my father spoke to me was that he loved me. I took for granted that he would always be around but before i knew it i was telling him i loved him and that i wished i could be there with him. My two best memories of my dad where when i was younger and i used to steal his button up jeans to go horse back riding in.. he never had any clean jeans to wear..cant believe i was skinny enough to fit in my dads jeans. The other time was when i had my daughter in the middle of a ice storm up in portland and he drove all the way up from salem to take us home. Those were just some of the things he did for me over the years. I always thought i knew every thing growing up "which of course I didnt but always thought i did" My dad will always be in my heart and my thoughts.. i will miss him more than he knows... R.I.P. DAD.. love you.. ty

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Robert Schaub's family. I first met Robert at his farm in 1970 when his brother--my friend Gregory--took me there and introduced us. I admired and respected Robert for his determination to continue with school and to make a complete career change, as did I. As it turned out, I became a parole officer in Marion County and occasionally Robert and I had the same client. I liked his common-sense approach to life, his sense of humor, and his great kindness. Rest in peace, Robert.
