I met Shelby at the South Salem Senior Center when I joined 2 years ago. She is much loved by all the members, and we considered ourselves part of her family. She and her mother Doris were very special people. We all are so shocked by Shelby's sudden passing, and now with Doris so ill also, we are doubly grieving and we all will greatly miss them both! Such wonderful people!

We met Shelby 1-1/2 years ago when we moved into the Battlecreek Ward. We sat next to her and our friendship began. She saved our seat next to her each Sunday. We would catch up on the weekly events, illnesses, family activities or celebrations. Shelby was a wonderful woman and we will miss her.

My husband and I enjoyed meeting Shelby at JoAnn's purse party. She was so funny trying to pick out a purse, she would put it on her shoulder and then asked Steve if it looked ok or not.
