Mr. White,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I'll sure miss Grandpa Walt. Even though he wasn't my biological Grandfather, I always thought of him as one. He was funny, sweet, kind and always had a smile on his face. Being able to know him has made me a better person and taught me a lot of things. I want to thank Walt for teaching me how to truly love a person not for what they have or had but, for who they are. Even in their hardest years. I also want to thank him for teaching me how to be a compassionate, understanding young lady. Grandpa Walt has taught me many things that I would have never learned without him. It's sad to think he's no longer with us but, I know he's home now. Thank you Grandpa Walt for being who you are. You'll always be in my prayers, I'll never forget you and all our amazing memories. I love you.

Walt always had the best laugh and greatest smile. I loved his stories and so enjoyed the times I spent with him and Betty in Anchorage. Even then, Walt would forget where he put things. I remember one morning when he was getting ready to go to work, he ask Betty. "Betty, where's my hat",lovingly she said, on your head Walt'. Then he said" Betty where are my glasses?" In the same loving tone, she said "in your pocket Walt". Then he ask where his keys were and she told him in his hand. He then laughed and said he had all he needed and headed out the door. Only for the door to open again with that smiling face looking in, he shyly asked " now where am I going". Betty told him the address was on the paper he put in his pocket. She just smiled and he started his day and I about died laughing at this routine.
He was a wonderful, interesting, brilliant, loving man. RIP dear Walt. And thanks for making my life better by being part of it. Betty will be there to help you now Walt too.
