Dear Aunt Shelba and Family, we are so sorry for your loss. Uncle Richard was such a great man. I have many fond memories of coming to visit the family over the years. Uncle Richard would always go out of his way to take us to the beach, fishing, out to dinner. Most of all I will remember him being a devoted husband and father. I know he will be greatly missed. We love you and are thinking of you, Vince and Becky Castellano.

My condolences go out to the Powers family. I am so sorry for your loss. Col. Powers was admired and respected by all. Joanie Roberts was so right! He was a great man and a pillar in the family. Not only that, but he was a great man and a pillar in the community. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Powers passing. I used to wait on Mr. Powers quite often at the bank and I especially enjoyed his stories and his excitement of taking his entire family on a Trip/Cruise. He would need lots of different denominations of money for tips etc, as he was taking the whole family on a cruise for he and his wife's Wedding Anniversary! I learned very early on that he adored his wife and family and enjoyed spending time with them. May God comfort you all at this difficult time as I know you have lost a Great Man and a Pillar in your Family.

Dear Shelba and Family. We can't find the right words to tell you how sorry we are for your tremendous loss. COL. Powers was the man who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to work for the Facilities Management Office so many years ago. We will never forget all the wonderful times we shared with you during the Christmas parties we attended in your home. We all felt like family and we will treasure those memories. We pray that our loving God wraps his arms around all of you and gives you strength in all the days ahead. May his beloved memory be eternal. With much love, (LTC,Ret) Gary and Faye Peterson

Saddened to read of COL Powers' passing. Worked with him for many years at the USPFO. He was the epitome of an officer and a gentleman. May God wrap His arms around the family and give them peace during this difficult time.
