I was sorry to hear of Red's passing. Even though it has been many years since we got together at McConnell family reunions, I remember Red and his sense of humor. He was a wonderful uncle. Our thoughts are with you.

Red and Charlotte were my godparents. They were close to my parents around the time that I was born. When I was very young, they moved to Illinois with their family and eventually moved to Florida in retirement. It was always a special time when they all came back to MN to visit, usually for family reunions. And when they did, they always took special time to catch up with me. I appreciated their love and humor. The last time that I saw Red was in 2005 when my father (and his brother) passed away. Red was a bright light to my family at a very dark time as we grieved. I will never forget Red, Charlotte, and the wonderful family (my cousins) that they created together, and the fun times that we shared.
