I'm stunned-but life has taught me that we are here for such a short time. Steve made the most of it, no doubt. I was fortunate enough to play ball with him in school and retain fond memories. G-d willing, we will meet up again in the dugout.

My deepest sympathy's to the Boros Family. As a young boy who grew up on E. Dewey St., I visited Steve's Dad's store almost daily. Though I'm 10yrs. junior to Steve I used to shag wiffle balls in my neighbors yard, where Steve used to hang out with Mike Bukwas. Jimmy Hill Flint.

I graduated with Dave in 1955 and have followed Steve's career since his playing days at Flint Northern. Two very classy Gentlemen. Our deepest sympathy to the Boros family and especially Rosemary.

Dear Shar, I was so sorry to read of Steve's death. I first met Steve in Lakeland, Florida in 1959 and was fortunate enough to be associated with him for several years. He was a wonderful and talented human being and he will be greatly missed.
My best to you,
Herk Robinson

High school and college(UofM)Steve was a true friend. Tried to help me pass Poli Sci. Years later he got tickets for my family when he was a coach at Montreal and they played in ATL. I graduated from Northern with his brother David. Thanks for the memories Steve. Charlene Brewer/Koth

Being from Flint I admired Steve as a ball player in my youth, but his real impact on me was as a substitute teacher in the Flint school system in the mid 60s. He was the one I, to this day, hold up as the ultimate teacher (even as a sub) by his "commanding respect" in the classroom and his way to have us talk about current events and his challenging of us to read and research things then form our own opinion based on facts. He got me intensely interested in the JFK assassination as we talked of it for hours on the classroom. I always admired him as a role model, teacher, and great guy. I am very saddened to hear of this. He will always be most highly regarded by me, in fact at age 56 I am thinking about being a teacher, and still bring Steve up as the teacher I want to be most like. That's a pretty good legacy...thank you, Steve.

It is with great sadness that I read about Steve's death. My late husband, Marvin and I were friends of Steve and Sharla and had many good times at baseball games with the KC gang. Sharla and I met at TWA. Steve was a gentle and nice guy. I always loved that he was so down to earth despite his success in a tough business. I am thinking of you all.
