The Corneli's were wonderful people. I had Kip as a teacher, he was a favorite. My condolences to Mimi and family.

I grew up next door to Helen. I always felt so grown up going over to her house for tea parties. She talked to me like I was an adult and I learned so much from her. I'd like to think that my love of travel and adventure came out of some of our discussions. I will always remember her fondly and am blessed to have met her when I was just a child.

I know that heroes don't live forever, but I had hoped that Helen would be the exception. She was a friend, a mentor, and an inspiration. Her memory is a blessing.

Helen came to me and was dancing a jig saying, "woo-hoo, I'm ready to continue on. Someone said, "That Helen is a real go-getter. I guess that in death, she is continuing to be the person she was while here on earth. She made the earth a little better, just by her being on it. All my love to the Corneli's-- Vandya Hopkins

My heart fell when I read this; I recall vividly spending time at the Corneli home on County O in Hancock WI when I was a child. Her daughter Danelle and I liked to pull each other down their carpeted steps as fun--at least until our rears were too sore to continue.
I recall Mimi liking my brother Bill...:)
Thinking of you.
