So many awesome memories --- Denny playing air guitar & making "mixed drinks" (Coke, orange & 7-Up) at Riverside for Jeannie and me, the surprise party for Denny when he joined the Navy, Gary's and my trip to Charleston to visit the sailor and his sweet bride, having our kids at about the same times, hosting the 4 of them on our sailboat for two weeks and remaining good friends even in those close quarters for that long, always feeling their love and support even when we didn't see each other for long periods, Jeannie & Denny coming to FL for a surprise birthday party, and we being blessed to turn the tables & join them for their surprise anniversary party last year. And more and more.... In our church bulletin was this message: Remember that the day we are dreading, the day we leave this earth, is also the birthday of our eternity. Happy Birthday, Denny! We'll see you again. Love to all.

Dennis used to hunt in Grenora, ND and I would see to it that his birthday was celebrated properly by baking him a goofy cake...we sure had a lot of laughs. His laugh is what I will always remember him for and his hugs when he would come down for breakfast at the Centennial Bar. Was so sorry when his hunting friend Don called this morning to tell me of his passing. I was thankful; he and Kevin stopped in to say hello last fall. RIP, my good friend and may God give your family comfort and peace.

I was very sad to read about Dennis passing. He was a great friend growing up with during our school days. I always thought of him as the brother I never had growing up. I wish that I had kept in touch after graduating from high school. I will always have great memories of him and those days.
