Smith, Barbara Ann Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas F. and Margaret H. (nee Thomas) Smith; dear sister of Ronald (Annette), Paul, Ruth (John) Sadl, Stephen, Maggie (Jon) Molvie, Carol (Raymond) Schmittgens and Julie (Bradley) Robertson; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend. Barb was a 1969 graduate of Bishop DuBourg High School. She loved art and music, and she loved to draw. Special thanks to all who cared for Barb over the past 40 years at Beverly Farm Foundation, who are also considered family to her. Also, a special thanks to John Hilgert of the Groves B. Smith Guardianship Corp. for his wonderful oversight for her constant well being, along with his friendship. Barb will be missed by many friends and family. Services: Visitation at St. Paul Catholic Church (Fenton) Monday, March 3, 10:30 a.m. until funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Beverly Farm Foundation or Brain Injury Association of Missouri. A service of KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL.

Rest in peace Sweet Barb. My dear friend from my youth. I am so sad to hear today of her passing and hope her family finds peace and comfort in her memory. She has always been in my heart and mind and always will be there.

God bless you all. We have gone through a similar situation in our family and we have great empathy for your family and the situation you have been going through for the last 40 years. Barbara was a beautiful girl. I know how blessed she was to have a great, large family. We will keep you all in our prayers.
