Katie and I shared district Kindergarten meetings together for a few years. Her thoughts and presence made a difference for all.
We shared Kindergarten meetings together in the Kirkwood District. Your thoughts and presence made a difference to all.
Katie gave so many gifts to the world: Michael, Clayton, Molly, her dedication and joy in teaching that shaped the minds and hearts of her students. I will always remember many happy hours spent with the Mugge family at Devonshire hanging out, with Katie's flowers everywhere. I'll always remember her great style, charm and hospitality. I often think of the gift she gave my mom and sister, the "Maui Sun Stars" silver engraved star when they bought Maui Sun. Also a great memory is when she had my bachelorette party at her house she made it so much fun. She was always "one of the girls" with my mom and sisters. She created a beautiful family and I'm glad the Schmidt family got to be part of it all.
Molly, Clayton and Michael, my heart goes out to you. Your mom's warm and loving spirit with always with you.
Both our boys Shane(15) and Alex(13) had Katie as their all day kindergarten teacher. She was such a wonderful teacher and person. She gave them such a great start to the education experience. We all have nothing but fond memories of her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Katie's family for their loss.
OMG, she was my daughter's kindergarten teacher during the year of my divorce. She welcomed me to the class as a room parent and encouraged me to participate in all class activities. I gained 19 new friends that yearand got closer to my youngest daughter
We were so sorry to hear this morning about Mrs. Mugge. We never got to meet, but going by her son Mike, who is such a good friend to our son Mike, she was a wonderful person. Our deepest sympathy.
I attended tonights' gathering at Bopp Chapel, and I was so impressed with the wonderful tribute to Katie throughout the room. It was wonderful to see Molly and Clayton, our hearts go out to them. Katie was a colleague, very thoughtful person, and a loving teacher. I was especially happy for Katie when she told me about her happiness in being with Ray. God bless her, a bright star.
You we'er an amazing person and teacher I will never forget my favorite teacher.
I am very sad to read about Katie. Everyone in the Kappa Kappa Gamma house loved her as a sister and a dear friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. She was a wonderful college friend.
We cherish knowing you. You will forever be our image of the perfect kindergarten teacher....full of hugs, endless patience and always in the 'pink'. Love, Kevin & Joanne Kelley
My oldest daughter, Sarah (28) had Mrs. Mugge at Keysor and my son, Michael (20) at Westchester. So sad to hear the news. She was an awesome K teacher.
Dear Mugge Family,
Katie was a delightful friend and client of ours and I am shocked to hear of her passing. Please know that your family is in our prayers for His Strength, Peace, and Comfort during this most difficult.
What a warm, wonderful teacher she was. Quite a legacy.
My thoughts and prayers to Katie's family. Katie was involved in the lives of all three of my children, in one way or another. She was not only a great kindergarten teacher, but a friend and inspiration to those of us who knew her. She was a great mom and helped many of us become better moms. She will be greatly missed.
With love from Jake, Darcy and Max's mom.
Katie taught both of my kids at Westchester--David (14) and Rachael (12) in full day kindergarten and they loved her. She was always kind, patient and caring. They learned so much from her, and we are thankful for her life!
Katie You are the love of my life. You always have been and always will be.
Your Loving Husband Raymond
Mrs. Mugge was our son's first teacher. She was an awesome teacher. Our son Shane was picked up every day after class and taken to a day care center for the rest of the day. The bus was late every single day for the entire year. Mrs. Mugge stood with our boy and waited for the bus every day. They were friends. On occasion I would have a day off and swing by (late, just like the bus) to pick up our boy, and there they were, the two of them, standing there chatting and laughing like a couple of old pals. Rest in pink, Mrs. Mugge.
To the best "Secret Santa" of all time; Katie Claus Mugge, your generosity will be missed.
